Connect Wix Bookings to Reservd

Keep running your classes in Wix Bookings. They show on Reservd with the right places left, customers book and pay on Reservd, and every booking goes straight into Wix so a class is never overbooked. It takes about five minutes.

  1. 1. Make an API key in Wix

    Sign in to Wix on a computer as the site's owner or a co-owner and open the API Keys Manager (from your account settings). Click Generate API Key, name it Reservd, tick the Wix Bookings permissions and give it access to your site only. Wix may text you a code to confirm. Copy the key straight away and keep it like a password: you paste it into Reservd once, and Reservd keeps it locked away.

  2. 2. Copy your site ID

    Open your site's Wix dashboard. The site ID is the long code after /dashboard/ in your browser's address bar. You can paste the whole address into Reservd and it picks the ID out.

  3. 3. Connect Stripe on Reservd

    Customers pay by card on Reservd when they book, and the money goes straight to your bank. In your Reservd dashboard, open Wix (or Settings, How customers book) and connect Stripe first.

  4. 4. Connect Wix

    Paste your site ID and API key, choose a drop-in price for any class with no fixed price in Wix, then press Connect Wix. Your classes come across straight away.

Questions

Do I need to change my Wix website?
No. Your Wix site and its own booking pages carry on as they are. Reservd is another place for people to find and book your classes.
How do you stop a class being overbooked?
Every few minutes Reservd reads each class's places left in Wix and only sells what's free. Each Reservd booking goes into the class in Wix as soon as it's paid, and Wix checks there's still a place, so the place is taken in both. A class that fills up in Wix stops selling on Reservd.
Will my Reservd customers be in Wix?
Yes. Each one is booked into the class by name and email and marked as paid, so they're on your Wix calendar and in your Wix contacts. The money is in your Stripe account.
What if I move or cancel a class in Wix?
A moved class moves on Reservd and anyone booked is told. A cancelled class is cancelled on Reservd and customers get their money back by your usual rules.
Will Wix email my customer too?
We ask Wix not to email or text them about bookings made on Reservd. Reservd sends its own booking confirmation and reminders.
Does it work with appointments and courses?
Classes only for now: group sessions on a timetable. Appointments and courses stay in Wix.
