Brighton booking app Reservd launches on 1 November
Reservd, set up by two Brighton founders, opens on Sunday 1 November with independent studios, gyms and personal trainers across Brighton and Hove. Customers pay the studio's own price, with no credits and no booking fee.
A new local booking app goes live in Brighton and Hove on Sunday 1 November, letting people find and book yoga, Pilates, boxing, reformer, gym passes and personal training at the city's independent studios in one place.
Reservd was founded by Bradley Hunt and Jack Wennington and is part of Brighton company Wenhunt Group LTD. It launches across the BN1, BN2, BN3, BN41 and BN42 postcodes, on the web at reservd.co.uk and in the Reservd app for iPhone and Android.
Many fitness apps sell credits that customers then swap for classes. Reservd doesn't. People pay exactly what the studio charges, by card, with no booking fee on top. Listing is free for studios; Reservd takes 2% of what they take through it, plus card fees at cost.
Bradley Hunt, co-founder of Reservd, said: “Brighton has brilliant independent studios, but finding them means checking ten different websites. We wanted one place to see what's on, at the price the studio sets, with the money going to the people running the class.”
The Today page shows places still free across the city for the same day, so someone with an hour spare can find a class nearby, and studios can fill spaces that would otherwise go empty.
Reservd is also the booking and payments system studios run day to day, with timetables, memberships, class passes and check-in. Studios that already run their timetable in another booking system can connect it to Reservd and keep it where it is.
After Brighton and Hove, Reservd plans to open across the rest of Sussex by December.
People can join the launch waitlist at reservd.co.uk/waitlist. Studios, gyms and personal trainers can join at reservd.co.uk/join.
